The mission of the Glacial Minnesota Organization (GMWO) is to promote the legacy of Minnesota Woman for the City of Pelican Rapids and Otter Tail County in the State of Minnesota. We treat her with respect and dignity and help visitors and residents identify the Pelican Rapids area as a site contributing to our knowledge of regional and world archaeological history while developing appreciation for and an enriched understanding of the land on which we live that was formed by the glacier.
